The Greatest Story - Habits of the Heart

The Greatest Story

Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”

Mark 1:17

Some of Jesus’ last words on earth were about witnessing. He said to his disciples, “You will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

To “witness” simply means to tell others about something you have experienced. Your story of how you met and grew to love Jesus is the greatest story you can ever tell.

Most of the exercises this week will encourage you to grow as a witness through prayer, preparation, and practice.

Remember that this week is not about leading others to Christ—although that is always a desired outcome! The two main goals of these exercises are for you to better articulate your own story and to grow in courage to tell it.
