For Unsaved Loved Ones - Called to Pray

For Unsaved Loved Ones

SHARING THE GOSPEL IS TOUGH, especially when it comes to reaching our loved ones. These folks know all about our messy pasts; and some seem to specialize in examining our flaws. In fact, Jesus observed that even “a prophet has little honor in his hometown, among his relatives, on the streets he played in as a child” (Mark 6:4, MSG).

Consequently, prayer is the only way you’ll be able to reach certain loved ones—because some won’t be able to receive the Good News through you. Mark 6 reports that Jesus couldn’t do much in his hometown. “He’s just a carpenter,” people said (Mark 6:3, MSG). And “even his brothers didn’t believe in him” (John 7:5).

When it comes to winning souls for the Lord, we must remember that we’re in this race together. Though you, personally, might not reach your sister or friend, you can pray for God to send someone else. “Pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields” (Matthew 9:38).

STRENGTH IN THE WORD

Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.

Acts 16:31

TODAY I DECLARE

My loved ones will be saved.

PRAYERFUL THOUGHTS

Dear Lord,

I plead the blood of Jesus over __________’s life. Even before the creation of the world, you loved __________.

Please touch his/her heart, O Lord. Prepare it for one of your special messengers. Send someone who can minister to his/her struggles, doubts, and needs.

Let your truth prevail, and may the bondage of sin be broken.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

KEEPSAKE
