sympathy - Does God really sympathize with me in my time of need? The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. Matthew 9:36 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. Hebrews 4:15 NO TROUBLE comes to you without the watchful eye of your heavenly Father seeing it and sympathizing with you. No temptation, hurt, or pain comes into your life that doesn’t touch the sympathetic heart of Jesus. Jesus endured temptation (Matthew 4:1). He felt the sting of betrayal (Isaiah 53:3). He experienced the deep sadness that comes with loss (John 11:35-36). He felt alone (Matthew 26:40). He even experienced pain and death (Matthew 27:26-50). The Lord sees you and understands how you feel. Open your heart to him and experience his presence, knowing that he is able to sympathize with whatever you are going through.
