WE ALL HAVE moments when we suddenly realize the distance between us and God has become vast. Before we can close the gap, we must determine what caused the distance in the first place. Then we can reprioritize our lives in order to guard against neglecting our relationship with God in the future. What can we let go of in order to put him first? Finally, we can recognize the excuses that cause our neglect of God to become a habit. Sometimes we claim it isn’t the right time to become serious about our relationship with God.
