Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.” John 20:27-29 Faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. Romans 10:17 The people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:14 Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1 FAITH IS not simply a matter of positive thinking or human effort. Faith is the result of the Holy Spirit working through the Word of God. Our faith grows as we read stories of God working through his people and as we watch for the great work he does through us. The strongest faith is based not on physical senses but on spiritual conviction. There is a spiritual element to this world that we cannot see, but it is very real. The more you ask God to sharpen your “spiritual vision,” the stronger your faith will become—and the more you will sense the results of God’s work in your life and in the lives of those around you.
