When the certainty of heaven brings hope to this life
Heavenly Father,
Your promises about heaven are as certain as all of your other promises. I believe that when I’ve entrusted my life to you, you will certainly guard my eternal future because of your deep love for me. Ultimately, God, it is your hold on me, not my grip on you, that matters most. I am saved by faith in you, not by my own efforts. Because of your steadfast hold on me, I can be strong and courageous as I seek to follow where you lead in this life. And I can be confident that your promise of eternal life and the future you have planned for me is far better than I can ever imagine! Lord, I ask for the faith to be able to live as if I believe that today.
