God Can Use You, Flaws And All - In the Morning When I Rise
God Can Use You, Flaws And All
Lord, how can you work through me even though I don’t feel qualified?
My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness. I know those who are mine, and all who belong to me must turn away from evil. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for me to use you for every good work.
2 Corinthians 12:9; 2 Timothy 2:19, 21
What examples from your Word show how you work through ordinary people?
Moses pleaded, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.” Then I asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Is it not I, the LORD? I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.”
Exodus 4:10-12
What can I pray when I feel unworthy to be used by you?
I pray that from your glorious, unlimited resources you will empower me with inner strength through your Spirit. Now all glory to you, God, who are able, through your mighty power at work within me, to accomplish infinitely more than I might ask or think.
Ephesians 3:16, 20
Moses wasn’t an eloquent speaker, yet God used him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. What sins or flaws make you feel unusable by God? You are qualified because (1) you are a child of God, created in his image; (2) he has given you his grace; and (3) you desire to be used by him. Pray the above prayer again. Thank God that he doesn’t expect you to struggle on your own, but that he empowers you with his unlimited resources.
