What Are You Afraid Of? - Habits of the Heart

What Are You Afraid Of?

You heard me when I cried, “Listen to my pleading! Hear my cry for help!” Yes, you came when I called; you told me, “Do not fear.”

Lamentations 3:56-57

Most worries result from being afraid of something that may or may not happen.

Fear does more to paralyze you than almost anything else:

It keeps you from joy.

It takes away your peace of mind.

It doesn’t allow you to move ahead.

Read the verse again and think about the one thing you are most afraid of.

Listen to God speaking these words to you: Do not fear. Do not fear.

How do God’s words impact your fears in this moment?

How can you carry these words with you throughout today?
