Growing Your Patience

Growing Your Patience

Better to be patient than powerful; better to have self-control than to conquer a city.

Proverbs 16:32

Practice patience by intentionally putting yourself in a place where you need to wait a little longer.

For example, choose the longest checkout line at the store, drive in the slow lane, or make a recipe that takes longer to cook.

While you are waiting, reflect about what is going on inside your heart.

Are you anxious? Tense? Angry?

Use the time to talk to the Lord about what it feels like for you to wait.
