Work - 365 Questions for a Woman's Soul

work - How can I glorify God in a job that feels unfulfilling?

Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 10:31

Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.

Romans 12:11

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward.

Colossians 3:23-24

God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers.

Hebrews 6:10

WORK IS GOD’S DESIGN for our lives, and how we do it matters to God. However, we all go through seasons when our work feels dull, frustrating, and even meaningless. Whether we work in the corporate world or at home, what we do has value to God. He searches for those who work with perseverance, courage, and enthusiasm. If your work feels unfulfilling, ask God to change your attitude as you reflect on his promises. Look for opportunities each day to serve God and others. God promises that when you work with this perspective, he will reward you. Take heart in the truth that nothing you do for the Lord is ever meaningless.
