DO YOU EVER FEEL like you’re just surviving, barely holding on? Are you in a pattern of responding to crises rather than living proactively? That’s survival mode. We can sustain it for a time, but not forever. God desires his people to thrive—not in the absence of difficulty but in spite of it. When you doubt it is possible to really thrive in life, look to God’s Word for truth and encouragement. He promises that the godly will flourish. When you decide to spend time with him, even if the time is short, you are choosing to trust that God has everything in control. It is by his grace that we can experience goodness in every season, even while in survival mode.
