experiencing God - I haven’t experienced God in a long time. How can I feel his presence more? God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. Matthew 5:8 We can be sure that we know [God] if we obey his commandments. 1 John 2:3 The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. Lamentations 3:25 God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. Philippians 2:13 His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. Acts 17:27 GOD ISN’T elusive or passive; he is personal and relational. He wants us to search for him and experience him. At times, God may feel far away, maybe even nonexistent. In those times, we must rely on the truth of God’s promises rather than on the strength of our feelings. He doesn’t hide or avoid us. He will never abandon us. Do you strive to have a pure heart? Do you obey his commandments? Do you depend on him and search for his presence throughout your day? If you can answer yes to these questions, then God promises you will experience more of him. Trust that he is working in your life as you wait, and remember that if you search for him wholeheartedly, you will find him. Lord, I want to experience you in this way: . . .
