A Prayer About Insecurity

When I am feeling unsettled, unsure

SOVEREIGN LORD,

I know in my mind that you are in control, that nothing catches you by surprise. Everything that happens is within your permissive will. But recent events have unnerved me: terrorism, the broken economy, school shootings, and more. I want to face each day knowing you are watching over me. Please give me a renewed sense of your presence.

Those who trust in the LORD are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever. Psalm 125:1
